Rena Sofer

  

Rena Sherel (born on the 2nd of December in 1968), is an American actress. Her roles include daytime TV, episodic guest performances, as well as TV-related films. Sofer was recognized with a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her role in the role of Lois Cerullo on the soap show General Hospital. She played Quinn Fuller in the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful between 2013 and 2022.




 Early life


 Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) and a psychology professor as well as Martin Sofer, an Orthodox rabbi.




 Sofer moved with her brother David along with her father to Teaneck (New Jersey) in 1970. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. Their family lived in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was the director of Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She later attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish high school in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer lived in North Bergen, New Jersey in the town where her father was Rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. Sofer graduated from North Bergen High School and then went on to Montclair State College.

 Daytime television


 Sofer first played Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as a band manager. Her first TV role was that of Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap drama that revolved around Loving (1988-91).
